The Committee preferred farma,kwn, which occurs nowhere else in the New Testament, partly on the basis of external support (î⁴⁷ a C 1006 1611 1854 al) and partly because copyists would have been more likely to alter it to the more specific farmak$e%iw/n (A P 046 2053 2344 al), which occurs in Revelation 18:23 and Galatians 5:20, than vice versa.
