The root [ρ ι ζ α]. Better, a root. It is not the only root. In Paul only metaphorically. See Romans 11:16; Romans 11:17; Romans 11:18.

Coveted after [ο ρ ε γ ο μ ε ν ο ι]. See on ch. 1 Timothy 3:1. The figure is faulty, since filarguria is itself a desire.
