Joseph, finding his brethren humbled for their sins, mindful of himself, (for Judah had mentioned him twice in his speech,) respectful to their father, and very tender of their brother Benjamin; and perceiving that they were now ripe for the comfort he designed them, makes himself known to them. This was to them as clear shining after rain; nay, it was as life from the dead. Here is,

( 1,) Joseph's discovery of himself to his brethren, and his discourse with them upon that occasion, Genesis 45:1.

(2,) The orders Pharaoh gave to fetch Jacob and his family down to Egypt, and Joseph's despatch of his brethren back to his father with these orders, Genesis 45:16.

(3,) The joyful tidings of this brought to Jacob, Genesis 45:25.
