Agreeably to this remark, thy wrath might be rendered thy fiery heat, or burning indignation. The expletives in this song, which our translation uses, often spoil its energy, as is the case with the which in this place: it should be rendered, thou sentest forth thy wrath: it consumed them as stubble.
