The phrase Hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? is thought by some to allude to the habit generally worn by the Eastern people, and especially by persons of rank; which was a long robe without sleeves; so that when the arm was stretched out to perform any action which required strength, it would appear uncovered, Isaiah 52:10. In this connection, it implies, that whenever true faith is produced in the mind, it is always accompanied by a divine energy.
