MOSERA, MOSEROTH

The name means binding, from Jasar, to bind. Deuteronomy 10:6, it is called by the former name; and Numbers 33:30, by the latter. This place was made memorable by the death and burial of Aaron. From hence this great high priest of the Levitical dispensation will arise at the last day. Here he rests in hope, who in his office was a type of our glorious High Priest after the order of Melchizedec. What a thought! If the ashes of Adam, or Aaron, or any, or all of the patriarchs were to arise this hour, their bodies would be all alike unconscious whether they had slept a single night, or several thousand years. "Blessed are the dead, said the voice from heaven, which die in the Lord"--in union with Christ, and a part of Christ.
