Father of Anak, head of the Anakim, who were also giants. Numbers 13:33. Their city was Hebron. Genesis 35:27; Joshua 14:15; Joshua 15:13; Joshua 21:11. The 'city of Arba' is elsewhere called KIRJATH-ARBA, which was afterwards called HEBRON.
