Hashum. [Ha'shum]

1. Ancestor of some who returned from exile, some of whom had married strange wives. Ezra 2:19; Ezra 10:33; Nehemiah 7:22.

2. One who assisted Ezra when he read the law. Nehemiah 8:4.

3. A chief of the people who sealed the covenant. Nehemiah 10:18.
