Laish. [La'ish]
1. City in the far north of Palestine, conquered by the tribe of Dan. Judges 18:7, Judges 1:18, Judges 1:18; Isaiah 10:30. Called LESHEM in Joshua 19:47. Its name was afterwards altered to DAN, q.v.
2. Father of Phalti, or Phaltiel. 1 Samuel 25:44; 2 Samuel 1:3.
