1. Fortified city in the lowlands of Judah. Joshua 15:44; 2 Chronicles 1:11; 2 Chronicles 1:14, 2 Chronicles 1:14; 2 Chronicles 1:20; Micah 1:15. Identified with ruins at Merash, 31 36' N, 34 53' E.
