Hannah (hăn'nah), grace. One of the wives of Elkanah, and the mother of Samuel. Her song of praise on this occasion, 1 Samuel 1:2-10, is a magnificent hymn to the holiness and justice of Jehovah, and has been compared with the song of Mary. Luke 1:1-55.
