Sanballat (san-băl'lat), heroes. A satrap of the king of Persia, in Samaria. He was a native of Horonaim, a town of Moab. He endeavored by every means to hinder Nehemiah in the work of rebuilding Jerusalem. Nehemiah 2:10, Nehemiah 4:1, Nehemiah 1:6-14, Nehemiah 13:28.
