One who flees from danger (Isaiah 15:5, Ezekiel 17:21); escapes from bondage (/APC 2Macc 8:35 (as adjective)); deserts from duty (Judges 12:4, 2 Kings 25:11 the King James Version; compare Judges 16:12Judith 16:12 the King James Version), or wanders aimlessly (Genesis 4:12, Genesis 4:14).
