(2) A Levite who accompanied the princes sent by Jehoshaphat to teach in the cities of Judah (2 Chronicles 17:8).
(3) The father of Jehudi (Jeremiah 36:14).
(4) The father of Ishmael, the murderer of Gedaliah (Jeremiah 40:8, Jeremiah 40:14, Jeremiah 40:15, Jeremiah 41:11, 2 Kings 25:23, 2 Kings 25:25). Some manuscripts of Septuagint read here Maththanias.
