Boil (rendered "botch" in Deuteronomy 28:27, Deuteronomy 1:28), an aggravated ulcer, as in the case of Hezekiah (2 Kings 20:7; Isaiah 38:21) or of the Egyptians (Exodus 9:9, Exodus 1:9, Exodus 1:9; Deuteronomy 28:27, Deuteronomy 1:28). It designates the disease of Job (2:7), which was probably the black leprosy.
