BAMAH, PLURAL BAMOTH
High places, Ezekiel 20:29. Bamoth-baal was a station of the Hebrews, in the border of Moab, Numbers 21:20; Numbers 1:22; afterwards assigned to the tribe of Reuben, Joshua 13:17. Baal was worshipped there, and it was perhaps the "high places" referred to in Isaiah 15:2. See HIGH PLACES.
