Bethezel ("house of firmness".) Situated probably in the shephelah or low hilly land of Judah, near Zaanan or Zenan (Joshua 15:37). Though Bethezel means the house on the side, i.e. near Zaanan, it got no comfort from Zaanan's inhabitants in its mourning (Micah 1:11).
