Rehoboth (2) One of the four cities built by Nimrod when he went forth to Asshur: Rehoboth Ir (i.e. "the streets of the city"), Calah, Resen, and Nineveh. I (See tid=2737; ASSYRIA; tid=2739) The four were probably afterwards combined under the one name Nineveh; the words in Genesis 10:11-12, "the same is a great city," refer to the united whole, not to the single Resen.
