Lévitique 27:16-24

And if a man shall sanctify unto the LORD some part of a field of his possession, then thy estimation shall be according to the seed thereof: an homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.

Si un homme ... Dans le cas d'une propriété foncière acquise, si non rachetée, elle est retournée au donateur au Jubilé; tandis que la partie d'un domaine héréditaire qui avait été vouée ne revenait pas au propriétaire, mais restait attachée à perpétuité au sanctuaire. La raison de cette différence remarquable était d'imposer à chaque homme l'obligation de racheter la propriété, ou d'inciter son plus proche parent à le faire, afin d'empêcher qu'un héritage patrimonial ne sorte d'une famille en Israël.
