Leviticus 6:30

And no sin offering, whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation to reconcile withal in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire.

No sin offering, whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle ... shall be eaten - i:e., when made for the high priest or for the whole congregation. It was to be removed outside the camp, and there wholly consumed (see the notes at Leviticus 4:1). The design of all these minute ceremonies was to impress the minds, both of priests and people, with a sense of the evil nature of sin, and the care they should take to prevent the least taint of its impurities clinging to them.
