Preparations for the Building of the Temple (see notes on 1 Kings 5:5). Though the general narrative in the parallel passages is the same, the Chronicler's account varies in detail sufficiently from that in 1 K. to suggest the probability that the Chronicler used a different source.

2 Chronicles 2:14. of the daughters of Dan: in 1 Kings 7:14 of the tribe of Naphthali; a number of other variations of this kind bears out what has just been said as to the Chronicler's source.
