9. καὶ ἦλθεν … φιάλας. Repeated verbatim from Revelation 17:1. The identical forms of introduction emphasize the contrast between Babylon and Jerusalem, the harlot and the bride.

τῶν γεμόντων. This well-attested and inexplicable reading must have arisen from an involuntary error of the writer or a very early copyist.
