Almost from the very birth of Christ the sword began to pierce the soul of the - Mater Dolorosa;" and what tongue can describe the weight of mysterious anguish which she felt as she watched the hatred and persecution which followed Jesus and saw Him die in anguish on the cross amid the execrations of all classes of those whom He came to save!
