They also need a sympathetic high priest (vv. Hebrews 2:17). share in flesh and blood. Jesus was fully human, just like the “children” and the high priest (see Hebrews 5:1). the one who has the power of death. God ultimately rules over life and death (Deuteronomy 32:39; Psalms 90:3; Psalms 139:16), but Satan claims that power.
