The widow's offering (Mark 12:41-44), unfortunately placed at the beginning of this chapter, which should have been devoted wholly to Christ's solemn discourse concerning the future. Yet this mal-arrangement corresponds to the manner in which Lk. introduces that discourse, by comparison with Mt. and Mk., markedly unemphatic.
