1 Corinthians 14:15

What is it then?. will pray with the spirit, and. will pray with the understanding also:. will sing with the spirit, and. will sing with the understanding also.

'What is it then?' -'So what shall. do?' (Fee p. 670) 'What then is my conclusion.' (TCNT)

'I will pray with the spirit, and. will pray with the understanding also' -'He will pray in. language he understands. That way he will gain understanding as well as the pleasure of communing with God..Not only will he make it his practice to pray in. language he understands, he will sing that way too.' (McGuiggan p. 181)

'is rich unto all that call upon him' -'and so rich is God in his mercy..that no multitude can exhaust them; therefore the Jew had no reason to envy or begrudge the Gentiles..since it in no way impoverished them.' (McGarvey p. 429) 'Abounding in wealth towards all' (Gr. Ex. N.T. p. 672). All can be forgiven and saved, all can be right with God, if they so choose to respond in obedient faith! NO LIMITED ATONEMENT OR PREDESTINATION HERE! Christ can give to every man what every man needs,. right standing with God!
