God choose Israel as His particular people (Deuteronomy 7:6), multiplied Israel while in Egyptian bondage (Exodus 2:7), and brought them out of Egypt by great manifestations of His power, including all the plagues and the parting of the Red Sea.

Acts 13:18 God "put up with" the complaining, unbelieving, and murmuring Israelites in the wilderness for about 40 years. Yet despite their complaints, He cared for and feed them.
