'PROSELYTES'-4339. proselutos pros-ay'-loo-tos; from the alternate of 4334; an arriver from. foreign region, i.e. (specifically) an acceder (convert) to Judaism ("proselyte"): -proselyte.

-'a proselyte was. Gentile who undertook to keep the Jewish law in its entirely and was admitted into full fellowship with the people of Israel.' (Bruce p. 64) For. male, this included being circumcised. Bruce also notes, 'Nowhere was Jewish proselytizing activity carried on more energetically than in Rome.' (p. 63)
