And suddenly there came from heaven. sound as of the rushing of. mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

'A SOUND AS OF THE RUSHING OF. MIGHTY WIND'-'It does not appear that there was any wind, only the sudden sound like. violent wind.' (Reese p. 47) 'Lit., of. mighty wind borne along' (Vincent p. 448)

'IT FILLED ALL THE HOUSE'-i.e. the sound. 'such. rushing sound must have arrested people's attention...Men would begin to wonder how to account for. sound like that, when not. breeze was stirring.' (Reese p. 47)

'THE HOUSE'-a house in Jerusalem.

'WERE SITTING'-notice the detail. And carefully note that the apostles weren't engaged in trying to "pray down" the Spirit when this happened, neither were they rolling on the floor.
