-The tabernacle was to be constructed exactly according to. Divine pattern (Exodus 2:9). Note that the first place of worship for the Hebrews wasn't the temple. Stephen counters the charge of blasphemy against the temple by saying..'This tabernacle of testimony was no ordinary shrine; it was made by the direct command of God, and constructed in every detail according to the pattern..' (Bruce p. 156)
