Acts 11:1 :HkousanVIoudai,an

Instead of the customary text codex Bezae, substantially supported by syrp, reads VAkousto.n de. evge, neto toi/j avposto, loij kai. toi/j avdelfoi/j toi/j (oi` D*) evn th|/ VIoudai,a|. Although Ropes preferred the Western reading because it is more Semitic than the B-text, a majority of the Committee was unwilling to abandon the weight of the testimony of the rest of the witnesses, particularly since in this case D contains the word avkousto,n, which appears nowhere else in the New Testament. It may also be pointed out that at the end of the verse several Western witnesses add the comment, “and they glorified God” (itgig, pc vgmss syrh with *).
