Conclusion: Unbelief is a sin that besets those who have been undergoing long trials. It is no advantage to us when we are in the dumps, to cross over the borders into the world for comfort, for we cannot expect God's protection when we are out of His will.

Striking Facts: David has every assurance that he would be king, yet concluded that he would perish. In this he was unlike Christ who was born King, was rejected all through His earthly career, yet ascended into heaven declaring the certainty of His coming as King.
