Isaiah 9:1-21

Contents: A divine child, the only hope of Israel. Vision of the outstretched hand. The unavailing chastisement.

Conclusion: In the worst of times, God's people have a «nevertheless» to comfort them (Isaiah 9:1) and balance their troubles. As the saints then comforted themselves with the hope of Christ's first coming, so now His second coming is the great hope of every dark day.
