Strong Verses: Matthew 27:22; Matthew 27:54; Matthew 27:35.

Striking Facts: Calvary's cross was the main point in the coming of Jesus into the world. His death was the object of His incarnation. He was the «Lamb of God who beareth away the sin of the world.» No man took His life from Him (John 10:17-18). He whose blood was more precious than all human blood together (Matthew 27:54) gave His life (Matthew 27:26). The glory of heaven is not Jesus as a great ethical teacher, but Jesus, the «slain lamb.» (Revelation 5:6-12; Revelation 7:10; Revelation 21:23.)
