Bear ye one another's burdens,— "Bear with one another's infirmities; help to support each other, under the necessary burdens and evils of life;—and so fulfil the law of Christ." See Romans 15:1 and 1 Thessalonians 5:14. There were some among them very zealous for the law of Moses: St. Paul here puts them in mind of a law which they were under, and were obliged to observe; and he shews them how to do it; namely, by helping to bear one another's burdens, and not by increasing their burdens by the observance of the Levitical law. See John 13:34.
