Not one of them went to a banquet, unless he were twice invited.' 6, The remnant] are the chief priests, scribes, and Pharisees, who were the chief persecutors of the apostles (Acts 5:40; Acts 7:58; Acts 12:2; Acts 14:5, etc.), as distinguished from the nation generally, which only 'made light of 'the Apostles' message.
