Here, in conclusion, is a most striking and just appeal from the Lord, followed up with the strongest assurance of mercy. But here again, as before, the expression concerning the Lord's pleasure in the death of the sinner must be accepted agreeably to the general tenor of God's revealed word. The glory of God is concerned in the destruction of sin; and, finally, he will root out all things that offend. Matthew 13:41. And when he doth it, the glory and pleasure of Jehovah is in it. Proverbs 16:4.
