_EXODUS 37:1_.— In God's work great exactness is needful; we must follow his written word, neither adding thereto, nor diminishing therefrom: thus did Moses. The furniture of the most holy place is finished: the ark, the cherubims, and mercy-seat; these are inseparable. _Note;_ When Jesus, the true Mercy-seat, is in our hearts, then shall we see the favourable countenance of God over us, and within us the deep engravings of his holy mind and will....

(2) And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about. (3) And he cast for it four rings of gold, in the four feet thereof; even two rings on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it.
