And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. Verse Revelation 13:11. _AND I BEHELD ANOTHER BEAST COMING UP OUT OF THE EARTH_] As a _beast_ has already been shown to be the symbol of a _kingdom_ or _empire_, the rising up of this second beast must consequently represent the rising up of _another empire_. EXPOSITION REVELATION 13:1 AND I STOOD UPON THE SAND OF THE SEA. The Revised Version, agreeing with א, A, C, Vulgate, Syriac, AEthiopic, Armenian, Victorinus, reads ἐστάθη, "he stood."
