But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: BUT GLORY, HONOUR, AND PEACE, TO EVERY MAN THAT WORKETH GOOD, TO THE JEW FIRST, AND ALSO TO THE GENTILE....

Verse Romans 2:10. _BUT GLORY, HONOUR, AND PEACE_] While the finally impenitent Jew and Gentile shall experience the fullest effects of the righteous indignation of the supreme Judge, even man that _worketh good_-that lives in a conscientious obedience to the _known_ _will of God_, whether he be _Jew_ or _Gentile_, shall have _glory,_ _honour_, and _peace_; i.e. eternal blessedness....

We know that God's judgment is directed against all who do such things, and that it is based on reality. Are you counting on this, O man, you who set yourself up as a judge upon people who do such things and who do them yourself--that you will escape the condemnation of God? Or, are you treating with contempt the wealth of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? _glory, honour, and peace_ A beautiful return to the thought of Romans 2:7, as if out of an abundance of inspired love and hope. "_Peace_" may here bear a special reference to the _peace of acceptance_, of which the Epistle is to say so much.
