Verse Acts 18:27. _WHEN HE WAS DISPOSED TO PASS INTO ACHAIA_] There is a very long and important _addition_ here in the _Codex Bezae_, of which the following is a translation: _But certain Corinthians, who_ _sojourned at Ephesus, and heard him, entreated him to pass over_ _with them to their own country. Then, when he had given his_ _consent, the Ephesians wrote to the disciples at Corinth, that_ _they should receive this man. Who, when he was come_, c. The same addition is found in the _later Syriac_, and in the _Itala_ version in the _Codex Bezae_. _WHICH HAD BELIEVED THROUGH GRACE._] These words may either refer to _Apollo_, or to the _people_ at Corinth. It was _through grace_ that _they_ had _believed_ and it was _through grace_ that Apollo was enabled to _help them much_.
