Isaiah 25:6

And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

In this mountain - Zion. Messiah's kingdom was to begin, and is to have its central seat hereafter, at Jerusalem, as the common country of "all nations," (, etc.)

Unto all people - (; ; .)

A feast - image of felicity, (; ; ; : of. ; Psalms 87:1.)

Fat things - delicacies; the rich mercies of God in Christ (; ; ).

Wines on the lees - wine which has been long kept on the lees; i:e., the oldest and most generous wine (). Compare , in the spiritual sense, as applied to Jesus, "Thou hast kept the good wine until now;" and , "I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom;" also Luke 22:29.

Marrow - the choicest dainties ().

Wines on the lees well refined - cleared of all dregs.
