That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same.

That thy foot may be dipped - literally, that thou mayest dash about: the same Hebrew as in Psalms 68:21, "wound" or 'dash in pieces.'

And the tongue of thy dogs in the same - i:e., may be dipped in the same; literally, 'that the tongue of thy dogs (may get) from thine enemies, from it.' Compare the case of Ahab's and Jezebel's blood licked up by dogs (1 Kings 22:38; 2 Kings 9:35).
