But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;

In due times, [ kairois (G2540) idiois (G2398)] - 'in its (or His) own seasons:' the seasons appropriate to, and fixed by God for it (Acts 1:7).

Manifested - implying that the 'promise' (Titus 1:2; Genesis 3:15; Galatians 3:8) had lain hidden in His eternal purpose heretofore (cf. Romans 16:25; Colossians 1:26).

His word - i:e., "eternal life" (Titus 1:2; John 5:24; John 6:63; John 17:3; John 17:17). Through preaching - Greek, 'in (the Gospel) preaching (cf. 2 Timothy 4:17), with which I was entrusted.' According to - in pursuance of, (cf. 1 Timothy 1:1): not by my own impulse.
