νυνὶ δὲ καὶ τὸ ποιῆσαι ἐπιτελέσατε. But now complete the doing also, that as there was the readiness to will, so there may be the completion also according to your means. Νυνί is more precise than νῦν, and here is in emphatic contrast to ἀπὸ πέρυσι: in the N.T. twice in Acts, twice in Hebrews, and 18 times in the Pauline Epistles. That ἐκ τοῦ ἔχειν does not mean ‘out of that which ye have,’ but in proportion to what ye have,’ is shown by 2 Corinthians 8:12. Comp. οὐ γὰρ ἐκ μέτρου δίδωσι (John 3:34). He does not say, Give παρὰ δύναμιν (2 Corinthians 8:3).
