Ezekiel 44:15-31

EZEKIEL—NOTE ON Ezekiel 44:15 The privilege of serving at the altar and in the sanctuary itself before the Lord (v. Ezekiel 44:15) falls to the Zadokite priests. Zadok was a priest of Aaron’s line in David’s time (2 Samuel 20:25). He remained faithful to David and then to Solomon in the power struggle over succession to David’s throne (1 Kings 1:39). The regulations about the priests’ activities have a close relationship with those given in the Pentateuch (especially Leviticus 21:1 and Numbers 18:1; see esv cross-references for parallels).
