Acts 7:45

which our fathers, having received it in turn, also brought with Joshua into the land possessed by the Gentiles, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers until the days of David,

1. The KJV says Jesus. Joshua is the Hebrew word for savior. Jesus is the Greek word for savior. There are passages where the KJV translators wrote Jesus when Joshua is clearly the intent. Hebrews 4:8 is another passage with this same error.

2. The generation that came out of Egypt died in the wilderness. Now another generation is ready to possess the land. Joshua lead them into the promised land.

3. They were to drive out the inhabitants (pagan, idol worshipers), but they failed to do so.
