The presence of kai, is attested by A 046 051 and almost all other witnesses; on the other hand the word is absent from a C P cop^{sa, boms}. Was the word added by copyists to avoid the asyndetic construction, or was it deleted lest the unwary reader, not seeing that it means “even,” imagine that “those who fear God” constitute a different group from “all of his servants”? In the opinion of the Committee the external evidence and the transcriptional probabilities are so evenly balanced as to suggest the advisability of using square brackets around kai,.
