Conclusion: As Christians travel the Gospel spreads, and where God's Word takes root, the hand of the Lord goes with it to give the tokens of His good will and the evidences of His work among them by the Holy Spirit.

Key Word: Antioch Christians, Acts 11:22; Acts 11:26.

Strong Verses: Acts 11:23.

Striking Facts: Acts 11:26. The name «Christians» cannot be, as some claim, a nickname. The Holy Spirit would not draw attention to the epithets of a jeering crowd and let it pass down the centuries as their accredited name. The name was certainly divinely chosen, for it puts emphasis on «Christ» (anointed One) rather than the human name of our Lord, in which case we would have been called «Jesuits.»
