swelling. Hebrew pride. Put by Figure of speech Metonymy (of Adjunct), for the proud beasts in the undergrowth of its banks. See Jeremiah 12:5; Jeremiah 50:44. Compare Job 41.

the strong. a strong one.

a chosen man: i.e. Nebuchadnezzar.
